He was born in Barcelona on 13 April 1969 and has spent most of his professional career in the same city.
He earned his PhD in Psychology at the University of Reading in the UK and trained in cognitive therapy with Giorgio Nardone and Albert Ellis.
He published his first major bestseller, The Art of Not Embittering Your Life, in 2011, based on the principles of Albert Ellis.
The Glasses of Happiness (2014) and Nothing Is So Terrible (2018) were Spain's best-selling non-fiction books in their years of publication.
He runs a network of practices in Barcelona, Madrid and Tortosa focused on brief cognitive behavioural therapy.
