«Una meditación» is the novel by Juan Benet, published by RBA in hardback (282 pages, in Spanish).
An anonymous narrator reconstructs in the mythical Región his past and his present in ruins, from childhood in the 1920s to the postwar period. The torrential flow of memory interweaves fictions, dilutes time and space, and the work is considered one of the keys to Juan Benet's literary universe.
This work won the Biblioteca Breve Prize in 1969 and belongs to the collection «Narrativa actual. Autores de lengua española», number 43.
For readers of contemporary Spanish fiction seeking a literary exploration of memory and the civil war.
Juan Benet was a Spanish novelist, dramatist and essayist who also worked as a civil engineer.
