«The Long Tail» is the economics and business essay by Chris Anderson, published by Random House Business in hardback (224 pages, in English).
Chris Anderson explains how the Internet transforms the economy: value lies not only in big hits, but in the long tail of niche products that sell little and whose combined weight equals or exceeds that of bestsellers. The essay also analyses industries such as publishing and music and the opportunities for producers and curators.
Originally published in 2006, it develops the article Anderson wrote for Wired. In 2006 it was nominated for the Financial Times Business Book of the Year.
Aimed at readers interested in business, economics, technology, the Internet and the impact of digital commerce.
