«The Man from Peru» is a graded reader in English by Arthur McKeown, published by Richmond in paperback (32 pages).
In 1870, the residents of Parkgate, a small village in Northern Ireland, prepare with anticipation to receive the man from Peru, a visitor who is looking for cats. Everyone comes with their well-fed cats, but the man does not appear where they expect him.
Published in 1998, it belongs to the Richmond Readers series, Starter level, and includes a glossary and exercises at the end.
It is aimed at children and young people learning English as a foreign language, especially those at a beginner level, and at guided reading in the classroom.
