In 'Pàtria', Fernando Aramburu presents us with a moving story about the consequences of terrorism in a community divided by political fanaticism. Through the eyes of Bittori, who returns home after the cessation of ETA violence, we explore the impossibility of forgetting and the need for forgiveness. The novel immerses us in the lives of two families, neighbors and friends in the past, now separated by pain and resentment, and invites us to reflect on the complexity of human relationships in a context marked by violence and conflict.
Basque novelist based in Germany, author of Homeland, a major literary phenomenon about ETA terrorism and Basque society.
