«Mira» is the children's novel by Tina Vallès, published by Animallibres in paperback (168 pages, in Catalan).
Mira is ten years old, curious and very shy: she prefers to draw in silence rather than be the centre of attention. When her parents sign her up for the village dance academy to help her lose her shyness, she feels it as a bad move. Even so, her pride leads her to accept the challenge and discover that shyness can be overcome.
Eighth volume of the L'Arca collection, with illustrations by Mercè Galí. Catalan edition published in 2021.
Recommended for readers aged 8 to 12, especially for those who want to reflect on shyness and personal growth.
