Jojo Moyes is a British novelist and former journalist whose breakout book Me Before You became one of the best-selling love stories of recent years and was adapted into a film in 2016.
She was born in Maidstone, England, on 4 August 1969.
Before becoming a full-time novelist she worked as a journalist at The Independent.
Her first novel, Sheltering Rain, was published in 2002.
She was the first writer to win the Romantic Novelists' Association Romantic Novel of the Year award twice.
Me Before You (2012) was adapted into a 2016 film starring Emilia Clarke and Sam Claflin.
