«Mi querida Eva» is the contemporary fiction novel by Gustavo Martín Garzo, published by Lumen in hardback (256 pages, in Spanish).
The story takes place in Valladolid during a warm summer and follows Alberto, Eva and Daniel, three teenagers who approach life and love. Years later, Daniel and Eva meet again by chance and relive that time from maturity; memories surface and long-kept secrets come to light. The novel turns the everyday into living, deep matter, and speaks of love as a strange language learned by intuition.
The work inaugurates the Biblioteca Gustavo Martín Garzo collection. It was originally published in 2006 and its English title is «Dear Eva».
A recommended read for those seeking contemporary literary fiction in Spanish, with attention to feelings and the passage of time.
