«Margarita Metepatas» is a children's story by Maite Carranza and Margarita Menéndez, published by S.M. Editorial in paperback (32 pages, in Spanish).
Margarita enjoys watering plants, but her aim fails when she tries to help a neighbour: she ends up soaking other people, like a father with his children or a vain little girl. Though she seems a disaster, her clumsiness unintentionally benefits several of them. A story about good intentions and everyday accidents.
Second title in the Los Piratas collection. Originally published in 1992.
Aimed at preschool children and early readers: a relatable protagonist and comic situations to enjoy aloud.
Maite Carranza Gil-Dolz del Castellar is a Spanish writer and educator, mainly writing in Catalan. She is a recipient of the Premio Crítica Serra d'Or, TP de Oro award, Premio Ondas award, and the Spanish National Prize for Children's and Juvenile Literature.
