«La Nardo» is the novel by Ramón Gómez de la Serna published by Bruguera in hardback (247 pages, in Spanish).
Set in the countryside, the story follows Nardo, a young woman whose daily life and relationships with those around her centre the narrative. Gómez de la Serna's prose, close to the greguería, turns the ordinary into notes on innocence and nature.
This 1980 edition belongs to the Club Bruguera collection, number 26; the work was originally published in 1930.
Ramón Gómez de la Serna y Puig, born in Madrid, was a Spanish writer, dramatist and avant-garde agitator. He strongly influenced surrealist film maker Luis Buñuel.
