«Konrad o el niño que salió de una lata de conservas» is a children's book by Christine Nöstlinger, published by Alfaguara in paperback (152 pages).
A custom-made child arrives by post to a woman who dreamed of having a son: Konrad is so perfect and obedient that it becomes comical. The story invites reflection on education and individuality, and is set in 1970s Europe, when children's literature sought to make its readers think.
Text in Spanish; edition published in October 1995 within Alfaguara's Children's and Young Adult catalogue.
Aimed at young readers: a humorous story that invites reflection, not just entertainment.

Christine Nöstlinger was an Austrian writer best known for children's books.
