«El reino de Celama» is the narrative volume that brings together Luis Mateo Díez's trilogy, published by Debolsillo in hardback (696 pages, in Spanish).
The book brings together the three novels of the Celama cycle: a mythical territory whose inhabitants fight for their dignity; a choral story about the memory of the land; and the encounter of an old man who wants to return to Celama with a young man fleeing from himself. It is a metaphor for the disappearance of rural cultures and a tribute to anonymous lives.
The volume belongs to Debolsillo's Contemporánea collection and was published on 7 January 2005.
For readers of contemporary Spanish-language fiction who appreciate the recreation of imaginary territories and rural memory.
