Belli reconstructs her life from a comfortable childhood in Managua to her involvement in the Sandinista revolution and exile. The narrative combines political testimony with intimate memory: motherhood, love, poetry, and the tension between her world of origin and the one she chose, set against war-torn Nicaragua.
The cover places this work in the Testimonios de Mujer collection. The subtitle is «una autobiografía en tiempos de amor y de guerra».
A work for readers of memoirs and Latin American political history, with particular interest in the Sandinista revolution.
