«Un pelotón de mentiras» is the children's book by Pilar Mateos with illustrations by Marta Balaguer, published by SM in paperback, with 128 pages in Spanish.
Pelotón is a boy with an extraordinary talent for inventing lies. He wins all the fibbing contests and lies just to see what happens, while those around him laugh at his stories. For him, lying is like playing with an advantage: it lets him win more. But one day his hobby leads him to a situation that will change things.
It was published in 1994 in the Catamarán collection, of which it is number 10; the cover corresponds to the 3rd edition.
Recommended for children aged 9 and up, with a fibbing protagonist and comic situations.
