«The Sceptical Razor» is a philosophical essay in English about lying in politics, published in 2016.
The work addresses the rise of lying in contemporary politics, linked to «post-truth» and to the emotional turn in the human sciences. It connects this phenomenon with Brexit, the election of Donald Trump and the advance of populism in Europe, to show its consequences in a world rooted in relativism and in «weak» truths.
The full title includes the subtitle «Political Lies and Their Social Consequences»; the work is catalogued in the Philosophy category.
For readers interested in political philosophy, communication and analysis of public discourse.
