Sender, publicada originalmente en México bajo el título de Mosén Millán debido a la censura en España durante la dictadura de Francisco Franco. La obra narra un dramático episodio de la guerra civil española en un pequeño pueblo aragonés, centrándose en la figura de Mosén Millán, un cura que reflexiona sobre su relación con un joven al que había apreciado. A través de sus recuerdos, se revela el fracaso de su mediación para salvar al joven, ofreciendo una profunda reflexión sobre la conciencia y los mecanismos de la guerra.

Ramón José Sender Garcés was a Spanish novelist, essayist and journalist. Several of his works were translated into English by the distinguished zoologist, Sir Peter Chalmers Mitchell, including Seven Red Sundays , Mr Witt Among the Rebels and The War in Spain (Contraataque). He published articles in the Valencia-based Orto magazine between 1932 and 1934. During the Spanish Civil War Sender was among the contributors of El Mono Azul, a Republican literary magazine.
