«Notes finals» is the mystery novel by Vicent Borràs Castanyer, published by Edicions Bromera in paperback (176 pages, in Catalan).
The disappearance and possible death of a student turn Bernat Bonet, a temporary teacher, into the main suspect in a Kafkaesque process. Bernat discovers that the words in his diary may incriminate him. The novel blends near-detective intrigue with an intimate look at the microcosm of a school and includes nods to Kafka, Pla and Nabokov.
The novel is part of the L'Eclèctica collection from Edicions Bromera, where it is number 62; its first edition dates from 1999.
Recommended reading from age 16, especially for those who enjoy intrigues set in a school environment and with literary references.
