«Dones» is the short story collection by Isabel-Clara Simó, published by Edicions Bromera in paperback (184 pages, in Catalan).
«Dones» brings together seventeen narratives portraying very different women: tender, withered, passive, aggressive, strong, weak, victims and victimizers. For Isabel-Clara Simó there is no «women's literature», only good or bad literature; she approaches each woman as an individual in a language close to orality.
The first edition of «Dones» appeared in 1998 as volume 55 of the L'Eclèctica collection.
Suitable reading from age 16, intended for those seeking contemporary short fiction.
Isabel-Clara Simó i Monllor was a Spanish journalist and writer. She is considered one of the most important writers in the Catalan language.
