Synopsis of Juan el peregrino

Juan el peregrino es una novela histórica escrita por Mika Waltari, publicada en 1986 por Grijalbo. La trama sigue los viajes de un joven llamado Juan a través de una Europa dividida por conflictos políticos y religiosos en el siglo XV. El protagonista se ve envuelto en la expedición cristiana para liberar Bizancio del asedio turco, cayendo en manos del sultán Murad y su hijo Mohamed II, el futuro conquistador de Constantinopla. A través de los ojos de Juan, el lector presencia el fin de una era y el surgimiento de una nueva, marcada por el poder económico y nuevas formas de violencia.
