«Intensas» is an essay by Ana Requena Aguilar, published by Roca Editorial in paperback (160 pages, in Spanish).
The essay analyses the unease of women called «intensas», a label used to single out those who ask, complain, show emotions or set boundaries. That word marks where permitted behaviours lie and what happens when they are crossed; the author proposes ceasing to be for others and considering intensity as a feminist strategy.
It is part of the «No ficción» collection from Roca Editorial. Ana Requena Aguilar (Madrid, 1984) is a journalist, gender editor at eldiario.es and author of «Feminismo vibrante».
Reading for those interested in feminism, feminist theory and gender studies, and for anyone wanting to understand how the label «intensas» operates.
