«El Tercer Reich: Una nueva historia» is the historical essay by Michael Burleigh, published by Taurus in hardback (916 pages, in Spanish).
Analysis of Nazism from start to finish. Burleigh shows how a pseudo-religious movement promised salvation to a Germany devastated by war and inflation, and how terror replaced law. It examines the morality used to legitimise the Holocaust and life under a totalitarianism that dominated almost all of Europe for four years.
Winner of the Samuel Johnson Prize 2001, this work was translated by José Manuel Álvarez Flórez. Original title: The Third Reich: A New History.
For readers of twentieth-century history interested in Nazism, the Holocaust and totalitarianisms; for an audience aged 16 and over.
