«El misterio del perro, la mermelada y el cantante» is the humour novel by Julio Muñoz Gijón, published by Almuzara in paperback (208 pages, in Spanish).

Inspector Jiménez is transferred from Seville to Madrid and reunites with his partner Villanueva. Together they must face a rancio-killer who kills modern characters such as a DJ, a film director, a comic artist or a Twitter user, and who also challenges Jiménez via a chat called «El perro, la mermelada y el cantante».

Julio Muñoz Gijón signs the novel as @Rancio, his alias on social media. It is the first edition, published on 14 November 2014.
