«El gran doctor» is a children's book by José María Plaza, published by Anaya Infantil y Juvenil in paperback (96 pages, in Spanish).
Animals with curious ailments come to the doctor's surgery: a mole who senses that the Earth is in danger, a wolf rejected for his taste for spaghetti, a centipede who can't have breakfast because his table is missing a leg, and a little dog sick with loneliness. The doctor prescribes remedies, but also learns from his patients.
It belongs to the Sopa de Libros collection and features illustrations by Emilio Urberuaga.
Aimed at early readers aged 7 to 9, with animal stories that invite reflection on generosity and imagination.
