«El diari de Zlata» is the diary of Zlata Filipović, published by FisicalBook in paperback (199 pages, in Catalan).
Zlata Filipović was eleven years old when she began writing her diary in Sarajevo, then at peace; the Bosnian war changed everything. In those pages addressed to Mimmy she tells how the bombings force her to take refuge in a neighbour's basement, how school, water, electricity and food run out, and how fear and loss mark her days.
The diary was originally published in 1993 under the title «Zlatin dnevnik».
Suitable for young readers interested in history and autobiographical testimonies.
Zlata Filipović is a Bosnian-Irish diarist. She kept a diary from 1991 to 1993 when she was a child living in Sarajevo during the Bosnian War, later published as a book.
