«Desencuentros» is the short story collection by Luis Sepúlveda, published by Planeta Publishing in paperback (269 pages, in Spanish).
Twenty-seven independent stories about lives in which loves, friendships and projects go awry due to small failures: chance turns desires into misunderstandings. The stories range from port cafés to second-hand bookshops, workshops and darkrooms, with eccentric or ordinary characters, between shock, laughter and reverie.
It is volume 19 of the Quinteto series.
For a general audience, especially readers of short stories and Latin American literature.
