«Corazón tan blanco» is the novel by Javier Marías, published by Debolsillo in paperback (320 pages, in Spanish).
Juan Ranz, translator and interpreter, newly married, overhears a conversation on his honeymoon in Havana that plants a dark foreboding about his marriage. The key to his unease seems to lie in his father's past, who had to marry three times. A story about secrecy, suspicion, and what one chooses to know or keep silent about.
Originally published in 1992, it won the Premio de la Crítica and the International IMPAC Dublin Literary Award. It belongs to Debolsillo's Contemporánea collection.
