«Centuria» is the anthology of Spanish-language poetry compiled by Jesús García Sánchez, published by Visor Libros in paperback (632 pages, in Spanish).
To commemorate issue 500 of the Visor de Poesía collection, 140 poetry readers chose a 20th-century poem in Spanish that was especially significant to them and explained in writing the reason for their choice. The work brings together the chosen poems along with the explanatory comments, and includes poems by Pablo Neruda, César Vallejo and Mario Benedetti.
The work is volume 500 of the Visor de Poesía collection and was published in 2003 (ISBN 978-84-7522-913-3).
For readers of Spanish-language poetry who want to discover a varied and annotated sample of 20th-century Hispanic lyric poetry.
