Caracol Beach is a novel by Cuban writer Eliseo Alberto, published in 1998 and winner of the Alfaguara Novel Prize in the same year. The story takes place on a Saturday in June, where Beto Milanés, a Cuban emigrant, seeks someone to kill him. The plot intertwines characters such as a sergeant seeking forgiveness from his transvestite son, the ghost of a pianist trying to save her daughter, and a literature professor who converses with the most beautiful woman in the world. The African orishas also descend from Olympus to join the story, creating a Greek tragedy to the rhythm of rock and roll.

Eliseo Alberto de Diego García Marruz was a Cuban-born Mexican writer, novelist, essayist and journalist. His numerous works include the novel Caracol Beach. Alberto was nicknamed Lichi.
