«Camins al sud» is the novel by Sergi Durbà, published by Editorial Germania in paperback (171 pages, in Catalan).
A Valencian teacher in a Spanish-speaking area recounts his work in a diary. With humour, the novel focuses on the exemption, a legal clause that exempts secondary school students in that area from learning Valencian, and on the incomprehension of a protagonist who criticises the educational administration and values the support of colleagues and friends.
The work was published on 22 June 2012.
May appeal to readers with pedagogical and linguistic interests and to those who identify with Valencian culture.
