«Babi es Bárbara» is a children's book by Asun Balzola, published by Ediciones Gaviota in hardback (72 pages, in Spanish).
The book follows Bárbara, called Babi, from early childhood to age six, when she starts school. In four chapters, Babi's two sisters, her parents and the dog Kaiku appear; Babi's imagination turns a visit to the dentist, getting lost following a dog or clashes with a classmate into adventures full of humour.
«Babi es Bárbara» belongs to the Gaviota Junior collection, in its second edition, published in 1999.
The book is aimed at child readers aged 8 to 10, especially those who enjoy everyday, family stories full of humour.
