«La Fragata de Juanchu» is the children's story by Asun Balzola, published by Ediciones Gaviota in paperback (48 pages, in Spanish).
Juanchu is a boy with an overflowing imagination who turns his walk to school into an adventure: sometimes he is Sherlock Holmes, other times a cowboy or a locomotive. After an accident while playing at being a sailboat in the rain, he ends up immobilized in hospital; there he will discover that true freedom lies in the mind.
The work is part of the Gaviota junior collection; this is its second edition, published in 1997.
For boys and girls aged 10 to 12, especially if they enjoy stories of imagination and overcoming challenges.
