«Alicia en el país de las maravillas» is the fantasy novel by Lewis Carroll, published by Editorial Alma in hardback (128 pages, in Spanish).
Alice follows the White Rabbit and falls down his burrow into a dreamlike world where the everyday becomes absurd. There she meets characters such as the Mad Hatter and the Queen of Hearts and experiences episodes that twist language and call the rules of reality into question.
It belongs to the Illustrated Classics collection (no. 29), the first instalment of the Alice series, and reproduces the illustrations by John Tenniel created for the first edition of 1865.
Recommended for readers aged 8 and up and for adults who want to rediscover a classic of nonsense.
Nineteenth-century English writer, mathematician and photographer, author of Alice's Adventures in Wonderland and Through the Looking-Glass.
