Una vida

Synopsis of Una vida

«Una vida» is the contemporary fiction novel by Alejandro Palomas, published by Ediciones Destino in paperback (408 pages, in Spanish).

Fer, Emma and Silvia take their mother, Amalia, to A&E for a mild infection, but her admission changes their family landscape: the three siblings must take on the care of an eccentric and irreplaceable mother while preparing for her possible absence. The story reflects on how much a mother knows, keeps quiet about and lies about, and on the bond that unites her children with her until the end.

Fourth instalment of Alejandro Palomas's Amalia series, completing the saga begun with «Una madre» and continued with «Un perro» and «Un amor». Part of the Áncora & Delfín collection from Ediciones Destino.

For readers of family and contemporary fiction who have followed the Amalia series or who are looking for an emotional story about the relationship between mothers and children.
