Galician lawyer and novelist, author of the Puerto Escondido crime series and novels such as Donde fuimos invencibles and El bosque de los cuatro vientos.
She practised as a lawyer for 15 years before becoming a full-time novelist.
Her debut Puerto escondido (2015) launched the series featuring lieutenant Valentina Redondo.
She won the 2019 Premio Espasa with Donde fuimos invencibles.
Most of her novels are set in Cantabria and Galicia, landscapes she knows first-hand.
She won the Premio Primavera in 2023 with Lo que la marea esconde.
