«Un loto en la nieve» is the young adult novel by Gonzalo Moure Trenor, published by Editorial Luis Vives (Edelvives) in paperback (139 pages, in Spanish).
A young man taught to climb by his father saves a Swiss mountaineer in the Picos de Europa; the encounter reveals a bond born years earlier in Tibet. Recalling his first trip to those lands under Chinese control, Von Arx brings into the story Kangseng, a Khampa boy whose steadfastness evokes the lotus that gives the book its title.
No. 42 of the Alandar collection; first edition published in March 2004 by Edelvives, in Spanish.
For young people aged 12 and up who enjoy stories of mountains, adventure, and distant cultures.
