«Esta, la vida» is the adventure novel by Gonzalo Moure Trenor and Mónica Rodríguez Suárez, published by Edelvives in paperback (116 pages, in Spanish).
A female leopard stalks an impala on the African savannah. The narrative alternates between the hunter's and the prey's perspectives, and in between the leopard recalls her life as a cub, motherhood, the loss of her offspring and her brief care of an orphaned baboon. The survival instinct and habits of wild fauna structure the story.
It is part of the Alandar collection (no. 132) and was published in 2012. It received the White Ravens award in 2013.
For young readers aged 12 and over interested in nature and in stories told from the animals' point of view.
