Madrid, 1981. A pair of police inspectors investigates the fatal hit-and-run of a completely naked young woman, whose autopsy reveals terrible injuries prior to the accident. Shortly after, two girls of similar ages disappear, being last seen in nightclubs. Thus begins an absorbing criminal intrigue that spans two decades, where the action and psychology of the characters intertwine with mastery. The novel reflects on the complexity of the human being and their darkest areas, but also on the all-powerful force of love.
This fast-paced thriller, which has been awarded the Cartagena Negra de Novela 2021 Prize and the Pop Eye Prize for Best Fiction Book 2022, gives the reader no respite thanks to the rhythm, suspense, and violence, with an epic ending as surprising as it is devastating.
