«Terra explicada a petits i grans» is the illustrated general knowledge book by Yann Arthus-Bertrand, published in hardback (76 pages, in Catalan).
After the success of «La Terra vista des del cel», Yann Arthus-Bertrand addresses younger readers with a selection of 34 photographs taken on travels around the world. The volume shows the diversity of human societies, their cultures and beliefs, and the daily lives of children, in a tone that is both documentary and poetic.
Published in 2012 in the Juvenil collection. It is a large-format volume (315 × 255 mm) weighing 781 g.
For children and young people curious to discover the world and its cultural diversity; also a first approach to documentary photography.
Yann Arthus-Bertrand is a French environmentalist, activist, journalist and photographer. He has also directed films about the impact of humans on the planet. He is especially well known for his book Earth from Above (1999) and his films Home (2009) and Human (2015).
