«S-Z» is the fourth volume of rhyming children's stories by Beatriz Doumerc, published by Editorial Bruño in hardback (128 pages, in Spanish).
It brings together short, rhyming tales, each featuring an animal protagonist and a letter of the alphabet as the focus, covering the range from S to Z. The brief, sonorous texts help children recognise letters while enjoying colourful illustrations, and the playful tone invites shared reading before bedtime.
Volume 4 of the collection «Cada noche un cuento, una letra cada día», with illustrations by Tría 3 (2005).
Recommended for children aged 3 to 6 who are beginning to familiarise themselves with the alphabet, and for reading aloud before bedtime.
Beatriz Doumerc de Barnes was an Argentine writer of children's literature. Her book, La línea, illustrated by her husband, Ayax "Pacho" Barnes, was awarded the Casa de las Américas Prize in 1975.
