«Prohibido tener catorce años» is the young adult novel by Roberto Santiago and Jesús Olmo, published by Círculo de Lectores (paperback, 174 pages, in Spanish).
Iván turns fourteen, but instead of a calm stage, he has to deal with a heap of romantic entanglements. The first surprise comes when he sees his best friend's partner with someone else; the second, when he runs into the girl he likes in a similar scene. His conclusion: at that age, everything seems to go wrong.
For young readers and fans of young adult fiction, with a protagonist who has just turned fourteen.
