«Persona non grata» is Jorge Edwards's testimony, published by Tusquets Editores S.A. in paperback (422 pages, in Spanish).
In 1971 Jorge Edwards travelled to Havana as a representative of Salvador Allende's government to re-establish diplomatic relations between Chile and Cuba. His testimony, written from an early distrust of the course of the Cuban Revolution, describes the contradictions of the Castro regime and his forced departure from the island after three months.
The work belongs to the Andanzas collection (no. 133) and the text was restored in its entirety from 1982. Jorge Edwards won the Cervantes Prize in 1999.
Suitable for readers of political memoirs, Latin American history and chronicles of Cuba in the seventies.

Jorge Edwards Valdés was a Chilean novelist, journalist and diplomat. He was the Chilean ambassador to France during the first Sebastián Piñera presidency.
