«Otra historia de España» is the historical essay by Fernando Díaz-Plaja, published by Espasa Calpe in paperback (630 pages, in Spanish).
Fernando Díaz-Plaja points out that the term «otra» admits two readings: as one more within the long tradition of narratives that have tried to explain the Spanish past, and as «diferente», since it seeks to review the country's history by applying logic and common sense to the deeds of ancestors.
«Otra historia de España», published in 1973, belongs to the El Arca de Papel collection (no. 33).
For readers interested in Spanish history and alternative approaches that question the usual narrative.
