«Óscar y las mujeres» is the humour novel by Santiago Roncagliolo, published by Alfaguara in paperback (320 pages, in Spanish).
Óscar Colifatto, a neurotic soap opera screenwriter, detests almost everything around him. After Natalia, his partner of six years, leaves him, he must regain fame with a new series. A neighbour devoted to self-help, a demanding producer and an unexpected son drag him into a comedy about life imitating cheap television.
The title belongs to Alfaguara's Hispánica collection; this edition was published in Spain in 2013.
For readers of humour and satire, with eccentric characters and plots centred on the world of television.
