«¡ONG!» is the humorous novel by writer Iegor Gran, published by Lengua de Trapo in paperback (166 pages, in Spanish).
Two humanitarian organizations share a building: one dedicated to saving the planet and the other to vaccinating children. Neighbourly frictions, a notice board and questions of precedence ignite a no-holds-barred war between them. A satire on idealism, human stupidity and the monopoly of good conscience.
Otras Lenguas (OL) collection, number 22. Translation by María Teresa Gallego Urrutia. Published in 2003.
For readers of satire and critical humour with an interest in contemporary fiction and the world of NGOs.
Iegor Gran is a Russian-born French novelist.
