«Olivetti, Moulinex, Chaffoteaux et Maury» is the short story collection by Quim Monzó, published by Acantilado in paperback (144 pages, in Catalan).
The stories gathered in this volume feature perverse and detached protagonists, immersed in everyday situations that turn unsettling. Monzó's narrative draws on the Kafkaesque tradition and Spanish surrealism, with an imagination at times lyrical and at times visionary that sustains an ironic gaze on human conduct.
Fourth volume in the Mínima Minor collection, in an edition revised by the author. The work won the Serra d'Or Critics' Prize for short stories and narratives in 1981.
For readers of short fiction in Catalan who appreciate black humour and unsettling atmospheres.
