«Nirvana» is the young adult novel by Pere Formiguera, published by Barcanova in paperback (128 pages, in Catalan).
After dying in an accident, Hipòlit Pinyol, a convinced atheist, discovers that Buddhism was the only religion that got spirituality right: to reach nirvana he must submit to the laws of reincarnation. What seems simple gives way to unfortunate and hilarious reincarnations; the path will be longer than expected.
The book belongs to the Edicions Generals - Petit Format collection. Nirvana won the Premi Protagonista Jove 1999 in the 14-15 age category.
It is a work aimed at young readers aged 12 to 16, with a mix of humour and outlandish reincarnations.
