«Memorias de África» is the autobiographical account of Danish writer Isak Dinesen, published by RBA in paperback (396 pages, in Spanish).
The memoirs recount Isak Dinesen's life in Kenya, where she travelled as a newlywed to manage a coffee plantation with her husband. Isak Dinesen evokes her relationship with the English adventurer Denys Finch-Hatton and her attachment to the landscapes and people of Africa, amid anecdotes of the farm and portraits of the Kikuyu, Somali and European people around her.
Originally published as Out of Africa in 1937, the work is the first title in the Out of Africa series. This Spanish-language edition by RBA dates from 2010.
