«Maribel y la extraña familia» is the absurd humour play by Miguel Mihura, published by Editorial Vicens Vives in paperback (176 pages, in Spanish).
Maribel, a young prostitute, meets Marcelino, a naive and timid young man who lives with his aunts Paula and Matilde. In love, Marcelino takes her home and the aunts welcome her affectionately, without suspecting her true profession. The misunderstanding triggers a succession of mix-ups and farcical situations.
