«Los tres cerditos» is the children's adaptation of the classic tale by Mercè Escardó i Bas, illustrated by Pere Joan (La Galera, hardback, 24 pages).
The story begins when three little pigs, now old enough to fend for themselves, pack their bundles and set out to see the world, each on their own. Mercè Escardó i Bas's version adapts the folk tale into Spanish with simple text suited to early readers.
The book is part of La Galera's Popular collection, number 19, and corresponds to the second edition of 1995.
Aimed at children aged 6 to 8, it is suitable for the first years of primary school and for readers beginning to read on their own.
