In 'The Gold Seekers', Augusto Monterroso invites us on an intimate journey through his childhood and youth memories, exploring the path that led him to become a writer. With his characteristic concise and ironic style, Monterroso presents us with a book that is both a personal search and a map of the paths that lead to literature, paths that can be 'short and direct or long and tortuous', but that inevitably mark the destiny of those who decide to travel them. This work is a delicate exercise in memory and reflection.
